Automatic Budget Allocation


When the Ad sets are paused, the Automatic budget allocation feature automatically reallocates your campaign budget based on three different options: Per Target Size, Manual, and Equal Distribution. This helps increase diffusion for ad sets where you have the greatest reach.

Note: When reallocating a paused ad set budget, Marin will take the budget from the paused ad set and reallocate it equally between other ad sets. However, the paused ad set will keep the minimum budget that Facebook requires.

In this article, we'll show you how easy it is to set up the feature and start reaping the benefits right away.

optimizing budget allocation

To optimize your budget allocation:

  1. Click on your daily or life-time budget on the campaign dashboard.


  1. Using the pull-down menu, select either: Per Target Size, Manual, or Equal Distribution. For this exercise, we've selected the option to redistribute the budget per target size.
  2. Enter the desired budget, then click Apply.



  1. Once you have done this, your budget will be automatically redistributed depending on the size of your target.
