Viewing Budget Versus Projected Spend

Table of contents

Introduction

The Platform offers in-depth data about both your budgeted spend and your projected spend. In this article, we'll explain how to compare the two in a quick and easy way.

Step-by-step guide

You can view the budget vs. projected spend in the Platform at any time. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on the Home tab and click on the Dashboard sub-tab.

  2. Scroll down to view the Projections module.

  3. The Platform reports the Month to Date spend (MTD), Budgeted spend, and Estimated total (Est. Total) for each publisher, and a total for all publishers.

    • MTD: The actual month to date spend for each publisher and the total for all publishers. This is represented by a dark green block at the bottom of each publisher column. The specific month to date spend is listed on the block.
    • Est. Total: The projected total spend for the month calculated based on current month to date spend and number of days left in the month. This is represented by a light green block at the top of each publisher column. The total projected spend is listed on the top of the column.
    • Budget: The budget specified for the current month. This is represented by a blue line in the graph. Click Edit Budget to adjust the monthly publisher budgets.
