Marin Shows Total Conversions but not Individual Conversions

When viewing data in the platform, you may notice that certain objects (like groups and keywords) show conversions within their totals, but show zero conversions when viewing the actual conversion types.

What Causes The Issue?

This problem is most commonly caused by having revenue and conversion publisher tracking enabled at the same time as using another revenue tracking integration (for example, DFA). In this case, you would notice conversions appearing in the totals but not in the individual conversion types.

How To Fix The Issue

To fix this problem, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Accounts > Publishers.
  2. Click Manage Accounts > Linked Accounts.
  3. Select the relevant Publisher Client Account (PCA) from the list.
  4. Under the Publisher Data field, make certain these are set to No Revenue or Conversion Data. If not, hover over the field and click the Pencil icon to change.
  5. Click Save

Once this is done, you may need to contact our Customer Support department in order to bring in historical data correctly. Bear in mind that this may lower your total number of conversions.

Note: Customer Support may be able to correct data within the grid however, in some instances, it is not possible to recalculate totals accurately since two revenue sources and inaccurate data have been brought into the platform.
