Revenue and Conversion Tracking

Home > English > Revenue and Conversion Tracking > Revenue Upload > Troubleshooting Articles: Revenue Upload > "Operation Failed with Error - Invalid Header"

"Operation Failed with Error - Invalid Header"

What is the issue?

When a revenue file fails within the Activity Log and you click into the Activty Log ID of the job, you may see the following error message:

Operation failed with error: Invalid header: [Conversion type and date]

This issue can occur with any conversion type, the name of which will appear at the end of the error message as shown.

What causes this issue?

The revenue file contains a column header for a conversion type which does not exist in the Platform. If you attempt to upload a revenue file which contains this conversion type, the Platform will produce the error shown above.

How to fix the issue

The only solution for this problem is to ensure that the conversion types in your revenue file correspond to those in the Platform. Provided they exist, you should not encounter the error message above.

To add or edit your conversion types, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Admin link.
  2. Click the Revenue sub-tab.
  3. Select Conversion Types from the left-hand menu.
  4. Use the grid to Add or Edit your conversion types as required.

Once your conversion types are up to date, you can proceed with your revenue upload and it should be successful.
