A Guide to Flexible Bid Strategies Copy For Import Test

Introduction

Flexible bid strategies (FBS) are the AdWords version of Marin Folders. In AdWords, you can define an FBS with certain goals and settings, then attach certain AdWords campaigns, groups, or keywords to the defined FBS.

In the Platform, you can associate Google FBSs to Google campaigns, groups and keywords, provided the FBSs have already been defined in AdWords. You cannot create new FBSs or report on FBSs in Marin at this time.

Enabling or editing flexible bid strategies for campaigns

In the Platform, you can associate an existing AdWords FBS to a Google campaign via the single-edit settings page by navigating to Settings and then Advanced Settings.

Enabling or editing flexible bid strategies for groups and keywords

To associate an FBS to a Google group or keyword, you will need to reach out to your Platform representative and ask them to enable flexible bid strategies for groups and keywords. After this has been enabled, we strongly recommend that you or your representative re-sync groups and keyword that are already using FBS in AdWords so that we can bring in the latest settings from AdWords, and so that the Platform doesn’t remove these group/keyword associations when you push some other change to Google. Group and keyword FBSs can be set on the settings pages for each of these objects.
