"Unable To Authenticate Your Account"

What Is The Issue?

When attempting to link a new Publisher Client Account (PCA) to the platform, or attempting to update credentials (username and/or password) for an already linked PCA, you may encounter the following error message:

Unable to authenticate your account. Please check your login credentials and try again.

This error message may also appear when clicking into an Activity Log ID which has an error, following a bulk upload or edit.

What Causes The Issue?

Seeing this error means that the credentials you are trying to use are incorrect, or have been changed recently. It can also mean that while your credentials are correct, you are using the wrong Account ID to link the publisher to the platform. This can also be caused by an API communication issue with the publisher.

How To Fix The Issue

First, you will need to Reverify your account.

To reverify Google or Microsoft accounts, navigate to the Accounts tab, then Publishers and click Manage Accounts to launch the Linking Wizard. From the Linking Wizard, click into the Linked Accounts tab, then the account in question, then View. From here click the Re-verify Account buttonThen, click Save.

If you believe that the error could be due to incorrect credentials, please double-check your email and password combination, then ensure that nobody else has changed the details recently. Also, please be sure that you are using the correct publisher ID to link the account to the platform.

If the above did not solve your problem, please contact our Support team who will be happy to help.
