Data Discrepancy between Google Search Ads 360 (DCM) and the Platform

What is the issue?

You may notice that there is a difference between data reported in Google Search Ads 360 and data reported in the Platform. For example, there may be fewer conversions listed in the Platform.

What causes the issue?

This issue is commonly caused by the use of Ignition One (also known as Search Ignite). If this is turned on, it may actually overwrite your destination URLs with its own redirects. If this happens, the parameters required for accurate conversion attribution may not actually be populated and the discrepancy may occur.

How to fix the issue

If you use Ignition One, the solution is to turn this off and then re-traffic your URLs within the Platform so that the correct Google Search Ads 360  redirects can be reinstated.
