Landing Page Does Not Match Destination URL

When clicking on a Destination URL within the grid, the landing page you are directed to is different from the URL in the Click Through URL column. This issue can occur within grids containing keywords, creatives or placements.

What Causes The Issue?

The most likely cause of this problem is that there is some form of redirect happening when the user reaches the landing page. It’s likely that a section of code within the landing page is redirecting users as soon as they land.

How To Diagnose The Issue

In order to check whether or not a redirect is in place on your landing page, we recommend you identify the path of the click. You can do this using a web debugging tool such as Fiddler.

How To Fix Or Prevent The Issue

We would recommend that you liaise with the site owner in order to identify and/or remove the section of code that’s causing the redirect. Once the code is corrected, the Destination URL should then link through to the correct Click Through URL.
