If you have set up recurring reports to be delivered to specific email addresses on a regular basis (daily, for example), you may find that, despite the report being set up correctly, it is not being delivered via email.
How To Diagnose The Issue
The first thing to double-check is that your email address is entered correctly within the specific Report Template (accessible via the Reports link in the bottom-left and the Scheduled tab).
For reports generated in Marin Search, not in MarinOne, the Email Report box must also be checked.
Finally, check your spam filters to ensure that the report emails have not gotten caught there.
What Causes The Issue?
If none of the above apply, it's likely that your lack of email report delivery is being caused by either the entire report not containing data or, for Marin Search-specific reports, it's possible the first reporting component/sub-report does not contain data. When this is the case, the system may not properly generate emails for recipients. This is a known issue for Marin Search recurring reports.
Note that the report will still run and will still be available from the Completed tab within the Reports section of MarinOne.
How To Fix The Issue
There are two ways that you can fix this problem, as follows:
- For Marin Search reports, update your report to ensure that the first reporting component/sub-report contains data.
- Split your report into multiple smaller reports, rather than using one containing many sub-reports. This way, you will only receive an email when your reports meet certain criteria (so if there is no data to report, you will not receive an email).
