"Account is Using Redirects, Upload using Click-Through URL"

When bulk uploading keywords/creatives, you may encounter an error message such as this:

Account is Using Redirects, Upload using Click-Through URL

You can find the message under the Result column header in the error file in the Activity Log.

What Causes The Issue?

If the URL Builder is configured to Build redirect URLs, this problem is caused by using the Destination URL column header instead of the Click Through URL column header in the bulk sheet.

How To Fix The Issue

You need to check the URL Builder settings by following these steps:

  1. Click the Settings button in the upper-right.
  2. Select Revenue & Tracking from the drop down.
  3. Select the tracking template by clicking the checkbox.
  4. Click the ‘edit’ button (pencil icon). 
  5. View Redirect Level settings to determine if they are enabled.

If the Redirect Level feature is set to Single or Double, make sure to use the Click Through URL column header in the bulk sheet and upload it again into the platform.
