Setting Up Google Combined Tracking Value

Introduction

In order to report revenue and conversion data by device, a dynamic device parameter (i.e. Google's {device} ValueTrack parameter) must be appended to your destination URLs.

In this article, we'll show you how to configure your combined tracking ID settings.

How to configure combined tracking iD settings

Here is a step-by-step guide to setting up your combined Tracking ID Settings:
 

  1. Navigate to theTracking ID Settings page, under Admin >Revenue >Tracking IDs.

  2. Check the Device Type Appended? checkbox and choose from a pipe ("|"), an underscore ("_"), or a hyphen ("-") as your delimiter. The device delimiter you choose must be different from your Tracking ID stop character.

  3. Click Save.
     
  4. Migrate your URLs by appending device type information to your tracking values within URLs. You must use the following format: Unique ID + device delimiter + 'd' + {device}
