Walmart is best known as a large, multinational retail organization that operates both brick-and-mortar and ecommerce retail arms. Walmart Connect -- the brand's retail media platform -- realized $2.1 billion in advertising revenue in 2021.
MarinOne offers full support for Walmart Connect.
MarinOne offers full support for:

- Creating and editing objects
- Editing budget
- Cost and revenue reporting
- Reporting and alerting
- Manually editing an object's bid

Using MarinOne to advertise on Walmart alongside your other ecommerce channels, including Amazon, helps you get one step closer to having a one-stop shop for your advertising needs. This also helps prevent you from having to split your budget and spend across different management platforms. More importantly, you can leverage all that MarinOne has to offer, especially our full cross-channel reporting suite and optimization tools such as Insights.
Walmart's Catalog Item refers to the actual item or product, which resembles a Shopping Product in MarinOne. This is a standalone object and does not have any parents in the hierarchy.
Walmart's Ad Item, on the other hand, is the relationship between any item (Catalog Item) and a group. If the same Catalog Item is added to multiple groups, each of those instances is an Ad Item, having their own distinct Ad Item ID. Ad Item to Catalog item is a many-to-one relationship. If the same item is added in multiple ad groups, it will have different ad item objects, but still a unique catalogue item referenced.
Limitations And Considerations
Please note that due to a Walmart limitation, once you manage your Walmart campaigns in MarinOne, you will be unable to go back to managing your campaigns on the Walmart publisher side. Please use caution when enabling Walmart campaign management with this caveat in mind.
