Using Keyword Expansion Manually [Marin Search]

The application's Keyword Expansion tools identify new keywords and negatives based on your existing set of keywords. You can use the Keyword Expansion feature manually, without having to wait for the daily run. This article explains how to do that.

How to use keyword expansion manually

From any Keyword grid page, specific keywords can be selected for immediate expansion using either keyword research or site crawler tools. To use this approach, follow these steps:

  1. Select the keywords by clicking on their relevant checkboxes in the grid.
  2. Click the Expand Keywords button on the top right. A bubble will appear letting you choose which Keyword Expansion tools to use.
  3. Make your selection, then click Save. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen.
  4. Wait a few minutes (allowing our tools to process your request), then go to the Keywords > Keyword Expansion page. Then use the Manual source filter to view the new terms. See Adding Keywords & Negatives from Suggestions for details on approving / rejecting suggested keywords.
