Working with a Large Number of Keywords


If you have a large number of keywords (over 250,000, counting all combinations of keyword text, publisher, and match type separately) you may be presented with a subset of keywords on certain pages to optimize your browsing experience.

You can also use the Platform's SmartGrid to manage large numbers of keywords quickly and easily. 

Large Numbers of Keywords

Pages that include a subset of keywords to optimize your browsing experience are:

  • All keywords (keywords top tab)
  • Keywords within a Folder

On these pages, you will see keywords that have registered a click over the last 4 months (default). You can see all of the keywords by clicking on the link located at the bottom of the data grid. All keywords will be shown when doing a text-based search or when viewing keywords for a campaign or ad group.

For very large keyword sets, you may see an even more tightly reduced keyword set. You will see the link listed as '>= 6 click keywords displayed'. In this case, the app displays keywords with greater than or equal to 6 clicks on any day in the time range (not as a total across all days selected in the calendar). This will optimize your browsing experience even more, and can be turned off by clicking on the link at the bottom of the grid.
