MarinOne & Marin Search: April 6th 2020 Release Notes

Amazon Sponsored Brands Campaign Management

What’s new?

Advertisers can now leverage Marin’s full campaign management framework for Sponsored Brand campaigns.

Customers with Sponsored Brands campaigns currently linked into Marin will require a product upgrade to unlock the functionality. Newly on-boarded customers will have this automatically enabled.

Why is this important?

Sponsored Brands ads give advertisers the opportunity to reach searchers on Amazon with highly visible, top of page advertisements. These ads feature a brand logo, custom headline text, up to three selected products to highlight, and a link to a landing page.

With this upgrade, all three of the primary Amazon campaign types (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display) can now be managed in Marin with end-to-end create, edit, and sync functionality.

Google Product Shopping Title

What’s new?

Marin users can now view Product Title when looking at Google Shopping product-level grids (found in the Shopping tab under Shopping Products) in both Marin Search & MarinOne. The Shopping Products grid is key to understanding how individual products perform within their parent product groups. Within this tab, you can identify products for segmentation, or easily make a performance analysis by SKU.

Why is this important?

Being able to see the Product Title makes for a much improved and friendlier user experience. An example of this is seeing the written product title, “Pow Pow Baseball Bat” instead of “SKU: 12345.” In addition, Marin users will be able to quality check Product Titles for misspellings or grammatical errors.

Enhancements to Cross-Client Reports in MarinOne

What's new?

In Q4, we made it easier for advertisers to analyze performance across multiple clients in MarinOne with the support of Cross-Client Reports. We’ve now made enhancements to those reports by supporting client-level columns for dimensions, custom columns, and conversion types that have the same column name across CIDs. This means that when you run a cross-client report, the report will extract the column name for each CID.

In addition, we’ve also added support for a currency column, for customers with multiple CIDs in different currencies. This helps indicate where there is a difference in local currencies, so that you easily calculate the conversion, rather than blindly summing up the total.
