Managing Campaigns

Home > English > Managing Campaigns > Keywords, Creatives, and Campaigns > Troubleshooting Articles: Keywords, Creatives & Campaigns > "The Status Could Not be Updated for XX Creatives"

"The Status Could Not be Updated for XX Creatives"

What is the issue?

When attempting to pause creatives within the grid, you may be presented with the following error message:

The status could not be updated for XX creatives due to bid and/or status issues. Please edit the creatives individually.

The 'XX' represents the number of affected creatives. You may also notice that the affected creatives have a status of Paused within the grid, but no Activity Log entry is generated, meaning the changes will not be pushed to the publisher.

What causes the issue?

This problem is a known issue which most commonly affects Microsoft creatives. It is, however, very easy to fix, and can usually be solved in just a few clicks.

How to fix the issue

In order to get your creatives toPause correctly, you must select the affected objects within the grid (from the main Creatives tab), then click the pause button again. Even if the creatives have a status of Paused, you should still click the Pause button again. The job will then be sent to the Activity Log for posting to the publisher as normal.
