Device Reporting and Management

Introduction

With the Platform's powerful reporting features, you can produce a report that details the various devices your visitors are using. This includes both Desktop and Mobile metrics. Google, Microsoft, Yahoo! Japan, Yahoo! Gemini, and Baidu all support device reporting in the Marin Platform.

In this article, we'll show you a method to do this in double-quick time.

Viewing Device Metrics in the grid

Before creating your report, you'll need to first bring the relevant data into the grid. To do that, follow these steps:
 

  1. Navigate to the main Campaigns tab.
     
  2. Click into the Devices sub-tab.

  1. Look at the existing column headers and decide if this is the data you're looking for. If not, you can use the Platform's View Builder (available in the upper-right of the grid) to add or remove more device-based metrics columns.
     

Once you've followed these steps, you'll be all set to create a device report from the grid. 

How to run a Device report

Follow these steps to produce your Devices report:
 

  1. Click the Create Report button in the upper-right of the grid.
     
  2. Use the pop-up bubble to make changes to your report, as well as choosing whether this is a one-time or recurring report. Find out more about reporting settings from our Support Center article.

  1. Click the Continue button to create the report.
     
  2. Next, click the Reports button in the upper-right corner of the Platform.
     
  3. Ensure the Completed Reports sub-tab is selected, then you'll see your new report in the top row of the grid.
     
  4. Simply click the Download link to access your new Devices report.

Additional notes  

  • You can also run Device reporting for groups by following the steps above from the main Groups tab. 
  • You can view folder data by Device going to the Groups tab, and clicking on the Device sub-tab. Then use the View Builder to add in the Folder column to the grid display.
