Keywords Appear in Report But Not in the Platform

What is the issue?

You may notice that when you run a report from the Platform, it shows keywords which are not actually visible in the Platform when you filter.

For example, you could run a report and see 1000 broad keywords; however if you filter the grid for active broad keywords, you see zero.

What causes the issue?

This is a rare issue that will only occur in the following circumstances:

  • Keywords are created in the Platform and are queued to be sent to the publisher. They now exist in the Platform and its database.

  • The user runs a report, and these objects are included even though they have not been sent to the publisher.

  • The job(s) queued to post the keywords to the publisher are canceled by the user.

You can check if the above scenario applies to your case by going to the Activity Log, then checking for any Canceled jobs. If you find one, open the corresponding bulk file and check for the keywords.

If the above does not apply to you, please reach out to our Support department.

How to fix the issue

If you wait until after the nightly sync, or perform a manual sync, then run your report again, the issue should be resolved. In some cases simply running the report again will solve the problem.

For more info about syncing, please read our help article.
