The Calendar Selector

Introduction

How to use the calendar

In MarinOne

To select a date range, click once on the beginning and end dates you'd like to include (in either order). All of the days between the 2 dates you select are highlighted and included automatically. Selected dates are highlighted in light blue, while dates used for comparison are highlighted in dark blue.

If your date selection spans more than 3 months, click the arrows on either side of the calendar to move back or forward in time.

Alternatively, you can enter your dates manually in the date selection boxes.

Or use date selection presets to quickly filter and compare common reporting periods.

You can also toggle between Date of Click and Date of Conversion data from the Show by section at the bottom of the Calendar Selector.

How To Use The Calendar

Highlight a date range to view in the grid:

  1. Navigate to the grid you want to see the data for. For example, the main Campaigns tab.

  2. On the left of the grid, you'll see the Date Range box and calendar view.

    cal5.jpg

  3. Click on the first day of your desired date range.

  4. Hold down the mouse button and drag the cursor to the last day of the desired date range.

  5. The date range selected will be highlighted.

  6. The grid will automatically update based on your selection.

To compare the selected date range to the same time period of the previous month or week:

  1. Once you've defined your date range as above, click the Change vs. drop-down menu below the calendar.

    cal6.jpg

  2. Choose a time-frame for comparison to your range. For example, you can compare the data between your range and the prior week or month.

  3. The dates you're comparing with will be highlighted in gray on the calendar.

  4. Ensure you've used the View Builder to include the Change and % Change columns in the grid for the metrics you're looking at. For example, you might want to see the total change in the number of clicks since last week.

  5. Additionally, you can show data values by Date of Click and Date of Conversion by clicking on the icons.

How To Select A Custom Date Range

  1. In the Quick Select drop-down on the calendar, select Custom.

  2. Type in the date range to view in the grid.

  3. Type in the date range to compare in the Change columns under Baseline for % changes. Percent changes and deltas can be viewed in the grid under the Change columns. For example, see Cost Chg and Revenue Chg.

  4. Days of the week can be excluded by un checking them in the Date Range section. For example, to view only weekday data, uncheck Saturday and Sunday.

  5. Click the Apply Filter button. The grid will update based on your selection.

Important Information

  • Note that when comparing large date ranges, your two date ranges may not be exactly comparable. The reason for this is that the Platform uses a logic to balance out the number of weekends vs. weekdays.

For example, if you wanted to compare 01/01/2012 with 01/01/2013, the Platform's comparison range may actually be 01/01/2012 - 01/03/13.
