Custom Dashboard Widgets Not Loading in the Platform

What is the issue?

When using the platform’s custom dashboard widgets feature, you may encounter an issue whereby your widgets do not properly load in the platform. These widgets are visible via the platform’s dashboard, accessible by navigating to the Home tab and clicking the Dashboard sub-tab.

In such a case, you will see the frame for each widget on the dashboard, but the message Processing… will be displayed indefinitely and the widget will not load.

What causes the issue?

We have identified the fact that this problem is being caused by a 500 internal server error occurring.

Our engineers are in the process of exploring the issue in more detail. We will add to this section as and when we have more information regarding the cause.

Possible workarounds

Depending on the affected widget, there are a number of workarounds you could try. Generally speaking, we recommend that you attempt to retrieve the data contained within the widget manually.

For example, if your widget is intended to display recent reports, you can retrieve this information by clicking the Reports link in the upper-right of the platform, then viewing the Completed Reports sub-tab.

Likewise, if your widget enables quick navigation links, you can use the main navigation menus to access the section of the app you need.
